How Do I Host An Odyssey Event?

First, complete and submit a Site Coordinator Application.

After you complete the application form, you will receive log-in information for the Coordinator’s Corner section of the Odyssey website. There you will find the Site Coordinator Notebook (a reference to use as you see fit while planning your event), Odyssey graphics, templates for news releases, postcards, flyers, banners, etc.

As you begin planning your Odyssey event, keep in mind that your event should inform your given audience about some aspect of alternative fuel and/or advanced technology vehicles and the benefits of these greener transportation technologies. We encourage you to be creative and to ‘think outside the box’ as you plan your event. If you need help getting started, see the Past Events page for examples of past Odyssey activities.

Throughout the process, you will have the support of the NAFTC Odyssey team. You can call or email them any time you have questions, are looking for suggestions, or need assistance.

Funding is available for 2012 Odyssey event coordination through the Advanced Electric Drive Vehicle Education Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy under Award Number DE-EE0002108.  Click here to see how your group/organization/school can qualify for Odyssey funding.
